The unidentified juvenile shot of an 18-year-old man in Pennsauken on Thursday, May 26, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Police Acting Chief Phil Olivo.
At approximately 5 p.m., the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes unit and Pennsauken Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 4700 block of Westfield Ave., Pennsauken.
The victim of the shooting, an 18-year-old man was struck on his hand and transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment, they said.
Approximately two hours after the shooting, further investigation by the Pennsauken Police Patrol Units and Detectives led to the apprehension of the juvenile suspect in Pennsauken, they said.
At the time of the juvenile’s arrest, police located an untraceable firearm or “ghost gun” with an extended magazine, they said.
The juvenile suspect was being held in the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.
